Still stunned by the brutality of the terrorist attacks in Paris, cities around the country are expressing their solidarity with France by emblazoning their landmarks with Le Tricolor.

The lights won’t bring anyone back. They won’t give us any answers. They won’t make sense of the senseless, and they won’t bring those responsible to justice. What they do, however, is set a vivid backdrop to heartfelt sentiments of support around the nation – and the world.
