Aussie Machine Tia-Clare Toomey Just Became The 1st Woman To Win 3 CrossFit Games In A Row

Australian Olympian and superwoman Tia-Clare Toomey can now add “three time CrossFit Games winner” to her resume after taking the competition on Monday morning.

Toomey crushed almost every challenge put in front of her over the four-day event. The 26-year-old’s victory makes her the first woman to win three CrossFit Games in a row.

The Australian proved yet again that she is fully deserving of the title of Fittest on Earth, finishing almost 200 points ahead of second placed Kristin Holte. In one event, the Swim Paddle (1000 metre swim and paddle), Toomey finished in first place ahead of all other male and female athletes. Toomey won five events in total throughout the 2019 Games.

When you consider the Queensland-born champion placed second in both 2015 and 2016, it means the Toomey has been on the podium for five years running. Not bad for someone who went from mid-distance runner to Olympic weightlifter in three years. Here she is pulling a 265 pound (120 kg) squat clean. Absolute weapon.
