Aussie Celebs Call For Protectection Of The Coral Sea

It’s time to get behind an initiative with substance. To commemorate Threatened Species Day on Wednesday 7 September 2011, the Protect Our Coral Sea campaign has released a supporter’s video where big name Aussie ambassadors like John Williamson, Tim Winton, Jesse Martin, Pat Rafter, Kristy Hinze, Isabel Lucas and Akira Isogawa call for the establishment of the world’s largest protected marine park to help conserve the Australian Coral Sea.

Currently there are more than 340 species of birds and animals on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species and the establishment of a protected marine park would be the first step in ensuring future generations can enjoy what we now take for granted.
