Victoria Police Find Body During Search For Missing UK Tourist Aslan King

Victoria Police have discovered a body they suspect to be 25-year-old tourist Aslan King, who went missing from a Great Ocean Road campsite on Saturday morning.

Authorities say they discovered the body in a creek, roughly one kilometre from his Princetown campsite, at around 10.15am today.

Police are yet to formally identify the body. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The discovery follows an extensive air and land search from the UK national, who had been camping with friends near the Twelve Apostles.

Earlier, friends of Aslan told Nine News the group was drinking when he appeared to be an epileptic episode. His friends said he hit his head and fled before he could be restrained.

It is believed King became disoriented after the incident and became lost in the surrounding bushland.

ABC reports members of King’s family are travelling to Australia from the UK.

Police thanked members of the public for their assistance during the search.
