Ariana Grande’s Mum Offers More Support For Manchester Bombing Victims

Joan Grande, mother of Ariana Grande, has used a heartfelt statement to offer her assistance to victims of last week’s Manchester Arena blast.

Grande, who reportedly sheltered a group of scared fans backstage immediately after the bombing, writes “I join my daughter in extending my help & services to all those affected by the diabolical act of terrorism which occurred in Manchester!”

Earlier, Ariana had promised to return to the city to perform a benefit concert, with proceeds going to victims and their families.

The elder Grande writes that her “heart goes out to all the victims: those who lost their lives, those injured, those recovering & all survivors of that night, along with the families & friends whose grief knows no bounds.”

She also used the occasion of Memorial Day in the U.S. to springboard into heartfelt thanks to “those who are & were in service protecting our freedoms every single day”.

Greater Manchester Police and national authorities are continuing their investigations into the incident.

There’s also been a recent callout to locate a distinctive suitcase seen in the possession of bomber Salman Abedi, with police interested to assess its contents.
