After months of speculation thanks to grainy product shots from super depressing phone factories in mainland China, Apple has announced a September 12th launch event for its next generation iPhone known officially as essential first world telecommunication device number five. The US tech behemoth sent out media invitations for an event to be held in San Francisco next Wednesday, hinting at the launch of its iPhone 5 with a caption reading “It’s almost here” and a large number 12 defying science and somehow casting the shadow of a 5 (wink, wink).
