Summer in Australia is for staying frosty and giving precisely zero fucks – particularly when it comes to beach-side suburbs and pedestrian road rules.
Oh, what a time it is to be alive. A pair of beat up thongs standing between your feet and melting tarmac. Sand and salt encrusted hair, and sun-drying clothes as you drag yourself up from the surf. Cricket bat hopping behind you as you drag it along the road to the shop to grab a Dixie Cup.
And all this whilst walking smack dab down the middle of the street. Because it’s summer. And you’re not just living anymore, you’re RULING.
With that said, here’s this. An emu marching straight down the middle of Banksia Beach‘s main street on Bribie Island. Confident. Carefree. Killing it.
