Many people on the internet are now coming forward with allegations about highly-esteemed fashion designer Alexander Wang‘s predatory behaviour, after one TikTok user opened up about allegedly being groped by him.
Owen Mooney (@owenamooney) opened up on TikTok about an encounter he had at a Cupcakke concert, where he was allegedly groped by a famous fashion designer. At the time, Mooney did not reveal their identity. But after realising the incident wasn’t a stand alone case, he chose to name his alleged perpetrator as Alexander Wang.

The story has been reposted on a number of social media platforms, including Diet Prada and Shit Model Management (SMM).
This lead to many other people coming forward and messaging SMM with their own stories. Some of these stories include allegations of being drugged with Molly water (MDMA), being pressured to drink until they blacked out and sexual assault.
“He puts drugs in drinks or pressures male models into partaking in those sketchy things so that he can get his way (especially by inviting them to his apartment),” one person wrote.
“Once after a show, he did the same “Molly water” trick on me. I didn’t know it at the time but I’m bipolar and the Molly sent me into a manic episode followed by psychosis,” another wrote.
Azealia Banks, who once starred in an Alexander Wang campaign, exposed allegations against the fashion designer in late 2019.
By searching Twitter, Diet Prada uncovered many more stories that exposed Wang’s alleged behaviour, with some dating back several years.
“Alexander Wang was exposed for groping and assaulting trans women and apparently it’s been an open secret by the trans girls that model and work with him, that nobody said anything about,” one wrote on Twitter.
“Anyone know who Alexander Wang is? He’s apparently a famous fashion designer and I only know that cuz he grabbed my dick on Saturday night,” another said.
According to SMM the reason this behaviour is not frequently outed is because “male models’ stories are so often ignored in these conversations.”
For trans and non-binary models they too are often silenced and ignored when it comes to sexual assault.
The industry certainly has a lot to answer for.
