ALERT: Tinder’s ‘Share’ Button Is Now Active, So Go Sort A Mate’s Smang

At the beginning of March, we brought you the news that Tinder was testing a ‘share’ button so that users could share profile links with mates / parents / co-workers without turning their phone screens outwards.

A small number of the app’s smang-happy users from different places around the world beta-tested the feature, and it obviously worked just fine because it’s officially launched in several markets – including ours.
Hitting the ‘share’ icon – on the bottom right-hand side of someone’s profile – will let you sent a temporary link to whoever you like, either with the intention of setting them up with the Tinderee or for approval on their suitability for your own purposes.
A recommendation link can be clicked five times before it disappears, with a 72 hour deadline. If that link leads to a successful swipe? Your profile may just appear in that person’s recommendations – as long as you meet your potential match’s prefs. As always, if you both swipe right, it’s a matchy-match.
Apps Tinder currently connects to: LinkedIn, Skype and Slack – the office communication app – which means you can even play matchmaker for a co-workers (and possibly get fired in the process, but your choice).
You can also shoot a recommendation link through via messages.
If you wanna opt out of having a shareable profile, you can – just go into Discovery Settings and turn off the function. But do you really wanna do that?
