Oh sweet mother of all things good and chocolatey.
Any dessert hound will tell you that the best, chocolatiest, and most delightful way to start your day (notice we didn’t say ‘healthiest’), is with toast with Nutella. Or anything, covered in a tower of Nutella. Or just a giant spoonful – or six – of Nutella.
However, those sweet-tooths may now be factually incorrect. A childhood chocolate bar renaissance is coming, in spreadable formulation.
And it’s starting with Twix, Malteasers and Bounty.
THAT’S RIGHT.
Now, we know what you’re all thinking. Bounty?! What the hell. They could have at least chosen Mars, or Snickers or something.
But hey – Twix and Malteasers are pretty ~fuck off amazing~.
Twix is described as “smooth chocolatey spread, with a hint of caramel plus pieces of crunchy Twix biscuit”, and we’re assuming Malteasers and Bounty would be the same, minus the caramel, and adding in malt chunks or desiccated coconut.
These scrummy chocolate spreads, said to be for spreading on toast and crumpets, are sadly only available in the UK. But we’ll get them here. If it is the last thing we’ll do, we’ll get them here.
