A NZ Pollie Got Hit In The Face With A Dildo & Is Surprisingly Chill

During a speech today in Waitangi today, Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce had to deal with something reasonably confronting.

No, he didn’t receive hard-to-answer ‘Leigh Sales-esque’ type questions and fuck it up. And no, he didn’t accidentally swear or get tongue-tied or say something weird. No, he didn’t pull anyone’s ponytail.
Instead, this happened:
The woman who threw the sex toy has been identified as a nurse named Josie Butler, who was protesting the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership which was signed in NZ yesterday.
In case you couldn’t hear over all the dildo-launching, she yelled, “That’s for raping our sovereignty. That’s for raping our country, because of the TPPA and selling away our rights and our freedom.”
Joyce didn’t seem overly bothered. It kinda seems like he’s secretly hoping this will go viral.
OMG TRUUUUUUUU.
Someone tag John Oliver immediately. His piece on NZ Prime Minister John Key’s bizarre hair-pulling fetish was just bloody wonderful.
