I, for one, have been waiting for this news for what feels like a golden-arched eternity.
A McDonald’s in the town of Llandudno, North Wales, has answered the prayers of binge drinking failures worldwide, and has opened up a dedicated lane for drunken pedestrians to get their beloved Mickey Dee fix late at night.
The blessed establishment rolled out a trial of the ‘walk-thru’ last weekend between the hours of 2:30am and 4am. As The Sun reports, the scheme was an instant hit that “spark[ed] a frenzy with sozzled customers with late night munchies.”

A spokeswoman for the chain has said that the ‘walk-thru’ was an initiative by the business manager of the restaurant to entice local partygoers to enjoy some McNuggies after big nights out at a nightclub across the road.
“As the restaurant is in the process of securing a 24 hour license, customers can only use the drive-thru to order food at night, so the ‘walk-thru’ is just a play on how customers can come and enjoy a nice meal, later in the evening.”
Yes. A nice meal. In the late evening. How pleasant we are sure that will be.
