A Liberal MP Tried To Get His Erotic War Novel Published During Biz Hours

Perennially embattled Western Australian MP Dennis Jensen, known for being the biggest climate change denier in Parliament and also not being particularly loved by his constituents, is in another spot of embarrassment: he used his official parliamentary letterhead to try and get his book published.
The book, named ‘The Sky Warriors’, is about a a fictional war between Australia and a coalition of Indonesia and China. It also features… a bunch of really offputting sex scenes.
“Yasmine didn’t believe in wearing bras; in fact, she really didn’t need to wear them as her breasts were still as firm as they had been in her late teens. Rono massaged her small, soft brown breasts, luxuriating in the silky complexion of the skin. He moved his hand up her inner thigh. “Yes,” she moaned. “Do it now, please, don’t wait any longer.”

Yikes. Worth mentioning that ‘Rono’ in this passage is meant to be the insane dictator of Indonesia.

According to The Australian, Jensen sent letters to literary agents around 2007, in which he said that if the book were to be published, it would have to be done under a pseudonym because of the politically sensitive nature of the content – y’know, a war with our closest neighbour and all that. Also, presumably the clumsy weirdo sex scenes. Read more. More!
“She pulled his trousers off, ripped the underpants off excitedly, and took him in her mouth.”

Steady on with the adverb use, pal. No one’s getting hot and bothered over this one.
Jensen is facing an uphill battle in his electorate of Tangney, where he might be unseated in a primary contest from former West Australian Liberal Party state director Ben Morton. But maybe he’ll keep the seat if he starts putting some of this pure raunch into his press conferences.
The punters will go absolutely bonza for it.
