A Guide To Living Your Best Life When Your Life Is All Over The Joint

We’ve all been that person. The person who’s: stayed out too late on a Tuesday/Wednesday, has plans for the other five nights as well, owes their PT seven more weight sessions this month and is about to open a can of organisational overhaul on her department at work. PEDESTRIAN.TV knows the struggle of killing it on all fronts of, and that’s why we’ve partnered with Clinique. Together, we’re sharing with you the best ways to deal with your social/active/trailblazing/often-chaotic life, and minimise the damage that living it up can cause. Clinique have an A+ new eye cream, Pepstart, which will get rid of the unwanted bags that will unfortch appear under your eyes when you’re #Slayin’ 24/7. Check it out HERE, and read below to see if there are any changes you can make to improve yo’ life.

If you’re anything like us, you’re all about burning the candle at both ends. You’re out way too late (way too often) working hard to accomplish all your #LifeGoals – not to mention being up in the gym just werkin’ on yo’ fitness – and it feels like there’s not enough time to fit it all in.
Over the years, we’ve nailed down a system for minimising the damage our hectic lifestyles take on us, so we thought we’d impart some wisdom on all’a y’all.
DON’T SKIP MEALS.

Basically, there’s nothing that will mess up your system faster than forgetting to eat for 11 hours, only to finally get home and eat enough pasta to “feed four people” (surely those suggested serving sizes are just suggestions, right???).
Nothing about this sitch is ideal. When you skip meals, you basically spend the day hungry and your brain won’t be as sharp as it needs to be to totally crush it at work, or whatever you’re up to.
GET ENOUGH SLEEP.

We know, we know. Easier said than done, right? But once in awhile, try getting an early night and marvel at how good you feel in the morning.
POP A VITAMIN ONCE IN AWHILE.
When you’re busy burning the candle at both ends it’s A+ important to stay healthy, otherwise you’ll burn out and end up prone to all kinds of nasty bugs. Try a multi-vitamin for an all-round health boost – you’ll starting feeling three trillion bucks, y’all.
REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP BEFORE BED.

Okay, yes. This is the most tedious and difficult thing in the world to do when you’re exhausted. You’ve had the longest day in history, and all you want to do is sleep. But trust us, this is so important. Aside from the fact that it will ruin all your pillowcases, sleeping with makeup on is legit one of the worst things you can do for your skin. And when the rest of your life is hectic, the last thing you need is blocked pores and stress breakouts, yeah?
KEEP AN EMERGENCY KIT AT WORK.

There are plenty of reasons to keep a little emergency kit at work and/or in your handbag. Whether your period came three days early, or you just locked down a hot Tinder date with potential-bae and need to touch up before you leave the office, these items will keep you feeling – and looking – so fresh/so fly.
1. Painkillers.
Stress headaches, cramps, caffeine withdrawal, or a sneaky glass of wine the night before. Painkillers are a must-have.
2. Eye cream.
A good eye cream can literally take away the visual evidence of your hectic life, in that those eye bags will perk right up. Worked late last night? Stressed out? Clinique’s Pep Start Eye Cream is the perfect on-the-go eye cream that will make you look instantly refreshed and ready for whatever’s next.
3. Deodorant.
In case you need to freshen up for some last-minute after work plans (or in case your date last night went really, really well).
4. A toothbrush / toothpaste.
Nothing helps you feel fresh than the inside of your mouth being minty-fresh clean, and sometimes gum just ain’t gonna cut it.
5. Makeup wipes.
Whether you need to start over, or whether you can get away with touch ups, makeup wipes are a lifesaver.
6. Sanitary items.
Honestly this one is self-explanatory.
7. Antacids.
Stressed out stomach? Ate something weird? Settle that queasy stomach with a few Mylanta.
8. A small bag with your holy grail makeup items.
Useful for those days where you get invited somewhere last minute at 4:30pm and your makeup isn’t looking as fresh as it did when you left the house at 8am, this will be a lifesaver if you get caught in a thunderstorm, or if you just need to take a moment to boost your confidence before a big meeting.
9. Water bottle.
You’ll subconsciously be encourage to drink more water if there’s water literally all around you. PUT ‘EM ALL AROUND YA + FEEL BETTER FOR IT.
10. Headphones.
If you’re like us, you can’t run without your bangers – keep a spare pair of headphones on you so you’re always ready to go for a jog/hit the gym. They’re also great when you need to block out the noise of your colleague in the cubicle next to you who’s a nek-level Bridezilla.
All in all, we know you’re all crushing it in work and play, but if you feel like you and/or your skin needs a little ~Pepstart~, head on over to Clinique’s website and check out their on-the-go eye cream.
