7-Year-Old Australian Boy Confirmed As Missing In Wake Of Barcelona Attack

In a developing story, the one Australian reported missing in the wake of the terrorist attack in Barcelona is now confirmed to be a 7-year-old boy.

Julian Cadman reportedly became separated from his mother after the attack, which killed 13 people and injured scores more, and family members have since issued pleas for help in locating him.

Julian’s mother, Jom, has since been found in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Family members have posted pleas on Facebook in an attempt to locate the young boy. George Cadman, a cousin of Julian, wrote:

My cousin, Julian Alessandro Cadman is missing. Please like and share. We have found Jom (his Mum, my cousin-in-law) and she is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Julian is 7 years old and was out with Jom when they were separated, due to the recent terrorist activity. Please share, especially if you have family or friends in Barcelona. Thank you.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop previously confirmed that four Australians had been hurt in the terrorist attack, and that one remained unaccounted for.

A suspected terrorist drove a van into a crowded and popular street, known as Las Ramblas, on Thursday afternoon local time. Police have since made two arrests, and shot dead five terror suspects attempting to carry out a similar attack in the neighbouring seaside town of Cambrils.

Efforts to locate Julian are on-going.
