5K Melburnians Stopped Traffic Today To Protest Detention Of Refugee Kids

Oh Melbourne, you guys really know how to protest. <3

In Melbourne’s CBD tonight, a ha-uuuuuuge rally was held in protest of the deportation of children who are currently here in Australia, to Nauru.
According to The Guardian, around 5000 people rocked up to say how they felt about the way our government is treating refugees currently in detention, including 37 children. 
Protestors also staged a sit-in outside the Liberal Party headquarters, stopping traffic.
