Rallies protesting President-elect Donald Trump‘s xenophobic, misogynistic and homophobic rhetoric have been popping up all over America.
Now, five people have been shot by one gunman outside a 7-Eleven near to a peaceful anti-Trump protest in downtown Seattle, with two males in a critical condition.

All five victims have been transported to the nearby Harborview Medical Centre, where they’re currently being treated for multiple wounds.
Witnesses said a group of people were arguing when the gunman – who’s still at large – opened fire and sent people scrambling inside the convenience store.
Because of the current climate, early reports suggested the shooting happened *at* the nearby anti-Donald Trump rally, at Westlake Mall, but police say the incident is unrelated to politics.
“It appears to be some type of personal argument,” a spokesperson has said.
We’ll update this story as more information comes to hand.
