Several people have been injured and as many as five people are believed to be dead after shots were fired in a Québec City mosque.
A few dozen people were inside the Islamic Cultural Centre of Québec when the shooting occurred around 8pm Sunday evening.
Footage from the scene shows several ambulances outside and a large area cordoned off.

The director of the cultural centre told media that five people were killed, but police have not yet confirmed this number.

Two suspects have been arrested, police confirm.
The mosque is the same one where a pig’s head was left last June, during the holy month of Ramadan.
