According to the ABC, three Perth police officers have been stood down due to testing positive to illegal drugs, while on duty.
WA’s Internal Affairs ran random tests on 200 officers in five suburban police stations on Monday, and three of those officers tested positive.
According to a police statement, the officers returned “a presumptive positive result to amphetamine and methylamphetamine”. The tests have been forwarded to the WA Chemistry Centre for confirmation.
