22 Y.O. Found Dead After “World’s Biggest” Ski Party In The French Alps

A British student has been found dead following the first night of a Oxford and Cambridge university trip to the French Alps, after an event notorious for wild partying and alcohol consumption.

22-year-old Matt Smith was found unconscious by officers after the party at Val Thorens, which is the highest ski resort in Europe
“An autopsy is being held this coming week” said a local police source, though it has been suggested he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and was unable to be revived.
The Varsity ski trip has existed since 1922, and generally attracts around 3000 people a year. It has been described as the biggest ski party in the world, and it’s pretty famous for the debauched behaviour of attendees. The resort has been forced to employ people to patrol the streets to deal with drunken behaviour.
A spokesman for St Johns College Oxford expressed the institution’s “deep sadness at the tragic death”.
“While we await the findings of the official investigation we are offering support to students who may have been affected.”
