A Sydney man has pled guilty to supplying MDMA to a woman who later died at a music event in Sydney’s inner west they both attended. Jordan Duffy, 19, did not appear in court, but his lawyer lodged the guilty plea on his behalf.
Duffy is accused of supplying the pills to Janie Panton Roberts between 11.30pm on Saturday, June 4 and 2.30am the next day. He allegedly gave them to her while the two were parting at the music event, which was held at the Petersham Inn.
Roberts later died at a home in Marrickville. Paramedics were called at approximately 8:35am, but by this point she was beyond assistance.
Duffy is expected to appear before the court next in December.
