17 Y.O. Boy Charged With Murder Of 43 Y.O. Brunswick Artist & Mother Of Two

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after the death of a 43-year-old mother-of-two in Brunswick last month.

Antonia Tatchell, an artist and mother of two, was found dead in her bathtub just before 6am on January 11th. Her body was found by a relative, who The Age reports is believed to be her son.

The identity of the boy charged has not been disclosed, though the Herald Sun reports that it is believed Tatchell knew her attacker.

A neighbour said that they often heard “yelling and screaming” from the home Tatchell lived in. Another neighbour described what they saw on the day Tatchell’s body was discovered.

“They (police) interviewed the son outside the house,” the neighbour said. “I saw the father out the front in tears.”

The accused teenager will face children’s court at an as yet undetermined date.
