Ladies and gentlemen, Chet Faker is no more.
Well, that’s not strictly true. He’s posted to Facebook that he’s ditching the pseudonym that has served him so well, and will proceed to release new music under his real name Nick Murphy.
No bloody word on whether that means you’ll need to save two different artists in your Spotify library, which is obviously the most important part of this change.
It’ll be interesting to see whether this augurs a major change in Murphy’s musical style. The vibe in the comments is that’s not what people want at all.
