Win Big Day Out Media Accreditation In Your State

People get into music journalism for two reasons – free tickets to stuff and getting close to celebrities. This year, Pedestrian and the Big Day Out aren’t just acknowledging this fact, we’re damn well celebrating it, and giving one budding journalist in each state “I’m on the list” rights (ie. media passes) to go behind the scenes and review the greatest traveling rock and roll circus in Australia from a real-life media person perspective, Almost Famous-style.

Journalists: Winning journalists will receive full Big Day Out media accreditation to review the show, with access to the Media Lounge provided and interviews set up with artists (subject to availability). The content produced will be shared across Pedestrian and Big Day Out networks, and will provide your folio (and probably your ego) with a much needed boost.

To enter as a journalist, write a review of Arcade Fire’s new track Afterlife and submit it to competitions@bigdayout.com with the title ‘Afterlife Review’.

With one of the most incredible lineups
the Big Day Out has ever seen, this is the one year you’d really want
to get up close and personal. If you’re a wizard with words or a sorcerer
with snaps, enter now to kick off your illustrious music journo career
and rise to the mighty heights of the lanyard wearer.  Entries are open
now! Competition closes on the 13th of November. Winners will be
announced on Pedestrian and BIg Day Out websites on the 27th of
November.
