Will Smith’s Nostalgia Train Rolls On By Doing ‘Summertime’ On Kimmel

I don’t exactly know what on earth is happening to Will Smith right now, but I think I kinda like it.

The good guy dressed in black (remember that) is currently doing the rounds of every televised talk show known to man, and in doing so has been slowly ticking off every item on the “List of Will Smith singles” Wikipedia page.
On Letterman it was “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It.” On Fallon it was a beatboxed version of “It Takes Two.” On Ellen it was a really sloppy version of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme. Now, on Kimmel, it’s this.
Wearing what all my fashion expertise labels a “shiny white turtleneck” (seriously Will, whyyyyy?) Ya Boi Smithy walked on stage and proceeded to rip through a couple of verses of “Summertime” while an awkward looking DJ Jazzy Jeff watched on via Skype.
I know “Wild Wild West” or “Miami” are probably the next cabs off the rank for whenever he appears on Conan or The Daily Show or The Dog Whisperer or whatever. But part of me hopes to GOD that somehow, someway, Smith and Amy Poehler get together to duet on “Parents Just Don’t Understand.
