Wild Beasts Drop “Albatross” Video

Baroque-pop UK outfit Wild Beasts have unveiled the video clip for “Albatross”, the gorgeous first single from their forthcoming LP, Smother.

Filmed in London by formidably talented English director Dave Ma (The Horrors, Lost Valentinos), the video is presented as a strange ethereal dream sequence of imagery, including skin crawling Silence Of the Lambs-ish winged insects. The main visual story is of a dark-haired lady performing contemporary dance moves in a poorly lit room – acutely reminiscent of the Kate Bush “Running Up That Hill” video.

Smother is out via Domino Records on 9 May 2011.
