Whoops, Chris Brown’s Probation Has Been Revoked

In a legal development to file under ‘Shit That Should Be Surprising To Absolutely Nobody’, Chris Brown is looking at the possibility of four years in prison, after having his probation revoked in his Rihanna assault case.
Vulture report that Brown’s show in San Jose, which drew media attention after five audience members were shot, was an issue, in that the singer traveled out of L.A. county without permission in order to perform there.
Brown has only completed four fifths of his required community service, and there have been several other recent incidents, including the beating of a man outside a Washington hotel, and an alleged hit-and-run, for which charges were dismissed.
The singer’s probation officer says that he “continues a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive in his ability to be successful on probation”, and has recommended he spend some time in prison.
An anonymous source – who clearly has access to the inner workings of Brown’s mind, Being John Malkovich-style – says he’s so freaked out about the prospect of jail time that he’s contemplating marriage to Karreuche Tran.
A hearing is scheduled for March 20.
