Your tweets notwithstanding (they’re great, really), the single service Tumblr still exists as the internet’s most intriguing, zeitgeist-capturing soapbox. It can feel part science experiment, part social commentary and part opportunistic LOL but if the blog’s basic truth resonates, it will succeed (be blogged about, shared and consumed). The basic truth in Who Is Arcade Fire?, a blog which appeared in the wake of Arcade Fire’s “Album Of The Year” win at last night’s historic? notable 2011 Grammy Awards, is the hilarious awareness schism that exists between different sects of popular music fans. One man’s trash is another man’s Weezer basically – or when you try to reconcile the Arcade Fire’s blogosphere popularity (in which they’re basically U2) with the band’s popularity among the Grammys watching masses – hilarity will ensue.
