Taylor Swift has copped a bad wrap of late, what with fleeting romances-cum-publicity stunts and Kimye beef.
But credit where credit’s due for the dedication she shows to her fans, including a 96-year-old World War ll veteran who scored a surprise visit from the singer on Boxing Day.
Missouri granddaddy Cyrus Porter – who recently gave a viral interview about his love for T-Swift to a local news station – was treated with an acoustic performance of ‘Shake It Off’ while his family collectively lost its shit.
She spent about an hour mingling with Cyrus and 60-odd relatives, taking selfies, hugging babies and checking out WW2 memorabilia with her delighted new mate.

“My Popo was ecstatic! He was grinning from ear to ear and even had tears in his eyes,” family member Caroline Fowler told E! News. “The first thing he said to her was ‘How did you get here?’ He loved every moment.”

And so did everyone else, clearly.

Taylor’s own parents, Scott and Andrea, joined her on the trip to Missouri and posted a cute vid of her arrival at Cyrus’ house.
