Last weekend’s two day GOODGOD Birthday Nights dancetastic extravaganza occasioned the annual return of the Goodgod House Band. Led by Midnight Juggernauts percussionist Daniel Stricker, the supergroup featured Andrew Santamaria (Cosmonaut, The Valentinos) on guitar, Shags (Brous, Lost Animal) on bass and Jeremy Hansen (Erik Omen) on keys, all of who were joined for off-the-cuff renditions of dance and rap one hit wonders by the incomparable Caroline Polachek from Chairlift, Kevin and Jay from Tame Impala, Dave from Dappled Cities, Nina Las Vegas, Levins, Tyson Koh, Perfect Snatch and more.
Here are a couple of karaoke highlights from the night for those of you who couldn’t be there, or can’t remember what went down in the first place. Frankly I’m shocked Stricker doesn’t know all the words to “Groove Is In The Heart.“
