Red Hot Chili Peppers released the first single off their new album ‘The Getaway‘ last month, called ‘Dark Necessities’.
It has all the same rhythms and sensibilities of the RCHP you knew and loved, except it’s 2016 and they can’t rock quite as hard in videos as they did once upon a time.
Take for example, their video for ‘Dark Necessities’, which dropped this morning.
There’s a helluva lot of ~SoCal~ skaters having a gr8 time, but RHCP are chillin’ on couches, playing bass guitars sitting in sinks, and as usual, finding it quite difficult to wear a shirt of any kind.
This vid was directed by bad bitch from ‘House‘ & ‘The O.C.’, Olivia Wilde. She’s found a new home behind the camera, and most recently debuted her directorial skills with the video for Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ ‘No Love Like Yours’.
