Only a day after a judge contemplated issuing an arrest warrant for Shannon Noll should he dodge his next court appearance, the singer has responded with a stunning pisstake – involving actual, uniformed police officers.
To close off today’s gig at Queensland’s Sandstone Point, Nollsie was playfully dragged offstage by the coppers while the final chords of What About Me? rang out.
Fucking. Seriously.
This is just the latest gag the bloke has pulled in the light of his alleged assault of a security guard at Adelaide’s Crazy Horse strip club, and it’s difficult to forget the image of Nollsie smiling like a maniac from behind bars at historic Old Mt Gambier Gaol.
If you can temporarily forget that alleged biff, it’s hard to be mad at the Australian Idol runner-up’s antics. We’re just impressed at his bottomless ability to take the piss out of himself – especially when his career renaissance includes crowds that bloody big.
Noll is scheduled to appear before court again in April. He’s probably hoping today’s law enforcement man-handling is the last he experiences between now and then, hey?
