Well, damn, Nick.
Nick Murphy – the artiste formerly known as Chet Faker – has just dropped a massive teaser campaign, and all signs point towards an absolutely lush new record from the perennial Aussie favourite.
Taking to Instagram, Murphy unleashed this brooding image, featuring a sneaky little textbox intimating that Chet Faker is well and truly donezo.
That’s definitely not a bad thing, though – the link included in the post is actually very, very real, and it leads to an absolutely plush trailer for the bloke’s latest project. It’s entitled Missing Link, and whether it’s just a single for an upcoming LP or a record in its entirety, you should be beyond keen.
Are you down with the concept of psych-synths spiralling over a hefty backbeat while Murphy inserts himself into Blade Runner? If so, you’re in luck.

It definitely appears like this will be his first full-length since the 2014 Chet Faker record Built On Glass, which spawned hits Gold, 1998, and eventual Triple J Hottest 100 winner Built On Glass.
