WATCH: Mariah Carey Torches $250k Packer Wedding Gown In New Video

We knew that Mariah Carey was feeling extra salty after her breakup from fiance James Packer, but damn. The singer’s newly-released video for the track ‘I Don’t‘ is straight-up, actual fire, and if you believe the gossip monsters at TMZ, it shows her torching the $250,000 dress she would have worn on their wedding day. To add even further insult to injury, the key dress-burning sequence was reportedly filmed in the backyard of the house that they shared in upscale Calabasas
“Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I’ve been going through,” Mariah said of the song’s inception. “And if you’re not getting the love that you need from someone that you’re supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?”
Look, not to be Mariah deniers, but we have some lingering doubts about what we’re seeing here – the concluding moments of the video show the diva herself swinging a white garment that looks like her wedding gown towards a posh fire pit, and then later, we see a similar white garment ablaze.
Did Mariah actually torch a custom Valentino gown, like TMZ claim, or did she set fire to a knock-off so she could emancipate the real one and have Stella take it to a consignment store? The symbolic value is strong either way. You decide, peasants:
