So, yes, here’s another post about Lana Del Rey but cool your jets for a moment, haters. Last night she performed her album track “Carmen” live for the first time at a small gig in London, and the stripped back version of the song sounds really pretty you guys!
The show was for a crowd of contest-winners (and not one notable live tv show) which probably explains her very chilled out mien; As Lana explained in our chat with her back in December 2011, her fans play a big part in giving her the courage to perform onstage – something she was previously unaccustomed to.
She said, “My audiences are amazing. I get up on stage and before I even get to the microphone people are waving and smiling at me. So that’s made the live show more comfortable for me.”
Anyway, if you’ve diminished Del Rey down to a cosmetically enhanced phony with a one hit single about gaming, there’s no point in defending her because you probably stopped reading already ¯_(0_o)_/¯
