Here’s something new from Lana Del H&M Rey. The recently arrived, Splendour-bound singer’s video for ‘Summertime Sadness‘ was shot by Blue Tongue Films’ Spencer Susser and filmmaker Kyle Newman on the same super crisp and clear 3D Fusion camera system that James Cameron used in Avatar and the story line is completely unlike anything we’ve seen from Lizzie so far. It’s really refreshing to see something entirely divergent from her previous output of Instagram-filter footage, smoke machines, suicide themes, religious iconography and special guest stars (this time it’s model/actress Jamie King, wife of Newman).
Just kidding! What did you think this was? No Church In The Wild? This is A Lana Del Rey Video so the same soft-focus formula applies. Sorry to get your hopes up. You didn’t expect to see something different now, did you? If it ain’t broke, though…
