WATCH: Keep Your Hump Day Chill With Venus Court’s New Vid For ‘GROOM’

Venus Court are a folk pop duo made up of brothers Jake and Sam O’Brien. They released their self-titled debut EP this year, and we at PEDESTRIAN.TV called ’em as one of the hot, up n’ coming acts we were keeping our eyes on
Their EP is worth a listen, especially if you’re inclined toward nice vocal harmonies, fat trumpets and byoodiful love songs. You like those things, right?
Either way, they’ve graciously given us the music video for their track ‘GROOM’ to premiere. It’s the first time they’ve had a director take the reigns on a video, and it’s a chill affair we’re sure will be a perfect complement as you churn through the comedown from your long weekend.
Jake talked us through the process behind this one:
We filmed, cut and graded the clip for GROOM in one day with the help of our good friend and film genius, Ben Timony. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed showing all the mums our dance moves down in Williamstown. Ben did a great job conveying the laid back nature of the song. This, of course, was also bolstered by my brother Sam’s exceptional dance choreography skills.

If you’re keen, they’ve got a couple of tour dates lined up on the NSW North Coast and in Brisbane over the next couple of days.

June 16 – The Milk Factory – Brisbane
June 17 – The Soundlounge – Gold Coast
June 18 – The Northern – Byron Bay
