First, Universal Pictures announces Ice Cube and his son O’Shea Jackson Jnr will hit Sydney for the Aussie premiere of the hyped AF biopic about iconic rap group N.W.A, Straight Outta Compton, in September.
Now, Jimmy Fallon has bestowed us with another glorious gift in the form of a Tonight Show segment called ‘Things That N.W.A Aren’t’, played during an interview with Ice to promote Straight Outta Compton.
For this with zero knowledge of the rap game, N.W.A is an abbreviation of Niggaz With Attitudes, the original and baddest ~ gansta ~ rap music group of all time.
The rise of N.W.A, and the life and times of its members, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren and DJ Yella, is the basis of the biopic.
Anyhoo, obviously you can’t just throw around the ‘N’ word on-air, “especially you, Jimmy” as Ice points out in the clip, but what Jimmy could do is invent a hilarious new segment that covers all the things that N.W.A doesn’t stand for.
