WATCH: Here’s Gideon Bensen’s David Lynch Inspired Vid For ‘Cold Cold Heart’

Gideon Bensen has been doin’ his own thing since he left The Preatures, and he’s been doin’ it well. The guitarist and singer has been drip-feeding us spacey, funky tunes since his departure from the band, with a few singles popping up from his debut EP ‘Cold Cold Heart’

People are noticing, too: his single ‘Talk Talk’ got international airplay on BBC Radio 1 on Phil Taggart’s show, as well as BBC London and Radio X.
Now he’s dropped the new vid for his track ‘Cold Cold Heart’ – a dark, noirish visual feast with a sharp neon edge. It’s debuting today here at PEDESTRIAN.TV. Have a squiz:
He’s said in the past that his tunes have a mishmash of diff vibes, from Bowie to post-punk to the general vibe of 80s music, and we can feel that for sure in the sound and aesthetic of this one.
Speaking to P.TV, Bensen talked the direction of the vid:

We had a lot of fun filming this. The song does have a ‘noir’ edge to it which [director] Sarah Adamson captures in her own David Lynch-esque production. The song talks about what it means to love and be loved.
Bensen performed at the Visions festival on the weekend, and is about to embark on a huge tour supporting The Jungle Giants around Oz.
Suffice to say: the bloke is doing well. Worth keeping an eye on this slice of Aussie pop.
