There ain’t many more grand Friday traditions in Australia than Triple J‘s weekly instalment of ‘Like a Version.’ It’s usually the most beautiful thing this side of knock-offs.
And today’s effort is an absolute corker, featuring British crooner (and the man whose Twitter bio features a Hall of Fame-candidate Jeff Jarrett reference) Jack Garratt.
In our neck of the woods for Splendour, Garratt managed to swing by Triple J studios during the week to lay down a smooth, restrained, soaring take on Beyoncé‘s barnstorming hit ‘Crazy in Love.’
It starts off slow, but hooo boy does it ever pick up. That voice, you guys. THAT VOICE.
That right there. That’s how you kick off the freakin’ weekend.
