Guess who’s back? Back again.
After a decade-long absence from our shores, Eminem kicked off his sold out ‘Lose Yourself’ tour at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium last night, treating 60,000 fans to a set that the rest of us can now enjoy via poorly shot fan footage on Youtube. Side note: it’s easy to forget how many memorable songs this guy has written or the fact that his cultural footprint includes introducing a whole generation of pre-teen boys to concept of swearing. Dude’s a festival unto himself.
Australia saw a different side of the rapper thanks to his newly found sobriety and backing from a live band. “Tonight I’m gonna remember this shit,” he said. Also, Lil Wayne was there! The duo play the Sydney Football Stadium tonight before closing with a second Sydney show on Sunday. Check out some surprisingly watchable footage below…
