What do you get when you combine music from Bundy’s most notorious thrash party duo, DZ Deathrays, with perennial loose units Dune Rats and Arj Barker dressed as the Devil himself?
The music video for DZ’s new standalone single ‘Blood On My Leather’, that’s what.
Directed by Melbourne filmmaker Prad Sen, it’s one hell of a trip that involves Satan-Arj throwing down a game of basketball with some nuns right after he’s punched a bong.
SWEAR TO GOD IT HAPPENS.
Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley (the two blokes behind DZ) told PEDESTRIAN.TV what the fuck is up with the video:
“It’s a classic case of a hungover DZ Deathrays wasting the day away until their sorta friend Satan rolls up and essentially forces the party and trouble on the boys, landing them in some serious shit and even worse mental states,” they said.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. It’s not the first time they’re collabed with Arj on a music video, after he helped them out for ‘No Sleep’ back in 2012.
“It was so much fun making another clip with Arj. We have stayed in contact since our No Sleep video shoot, which made this video a day of smashing beers and catching up.”
As for Dune Rats, pretty sure the video represents their day-to-day anyway, so they were mad keen to participate.
