It’s hard to say whether being a celebrity makes your brain weird or if only people whose brains are already weird become celebrities, but it’s pretty safe to say that celebrities, by and large, have weird brains.
Justin Bieber has gone through all of the larval stages of being a child celebrity (success, acting out, finding Christ) and is now in the transitional phase before he turns into a beautiful adult celebrity butterfly: the phase that requires odd rants about the devil himself.
In some fun, light-hearted crowd banter at the O2 in London, he asked, to rapturous screams, who wanted him to get his Instagram back – briefly filling fans’ adolescent hearts with hope that his beautiful, muscular torso would be gracing their IG again – but he crushed those hopes immediately:
“Instagram is for the devil. I think hell is Instagram. I’m like 90 percent sure.”
OK, good theory, so far, what else?
“We get sent to hell and we get locked in the Instagram server. I’m stuck in the DMs. I’m trying to climb my way out and I can’t.”
I’m, like, 90% sure that he’s joking but, man, those are some weird-ass jokes. Although, as you’ll see from the video, the crowd bloody loved it. Teens are into some weird shit these days:
