Comedian, lyrical genius, beatboxer and all-round top-notch individual Reggie Watts was in the country recently, and thanks to the good people at Virgin Mobile, we were able to pin him down and soak up a little of the joy that perpetually surrounds him.
We asked Watts to record a song for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on the occasion of his birthday, and he graciously obliged, coming up with a cracking number about Mal’s long career turning back bulls.
Malcolm Tiberius Turnbull, born October 24 1954, turns 61 today – happy birthday, old mate, and please enjoy your song.
When we last caught up with Watts, he was unleashing an epic, 24-hour rap-slash-musical masterpiece, in which he name-checked 600 Aussie towns, so check that out if you haven’t.
