Suspend your disbelief, stop paying attention to the lyrics and, for a brief four minutes you’ll ignore the song’s problematic phrasing, “I’ll give you something big enough to rip your ass in two”, and pretend Thicke’s defence for the controversy wasn’t just “But my wife thought it was sexy!”. Hm
