Violent Soho Scalp The Scalpers Profiting Off Their Tix In FB Rant

Apparently, the only thing that compares to the insanity of a Violent Soho, DZ Deathrays and Dune Rats triple-header is the absolutely fkd scramble to nab tickets beforehand.

And, much like copping a stanky hi-top to the face, would-be punters have been rudely kicked by scalpers who snagged a fair few tix for the upcoming Waco Tour.

After tickets for some of the first venues sold out – which only took ten minutes in Melbourne – the headliners took to Facebook to remind Australia how much of a dog act scalping is.

It’s come to our attention today that some selfish individuals out there are trying to scalp tickets to the WACO tour…

In the hours since the post went life, it’s been shared nearly 2,000 times by actual human beings who are sick and bloody tired of this continual nonsense.

A cursory glance online confirms that tickets are indeed being hawked for racked up prices, even for legs of the tour that haven’t actually sold out yet. The tour’s Adelaide stop, which has GA tickets on offer for under $70 at time of writing, has copped some impressive speculation / inflation.

Of course, the fuck-’em-all punk ethos that’s helped propel the group into Australia’s conscience has compelled them to look into adding more shows. With any luck, the increased supply will either tank the scalpers’ profits, or there will simply be enough above-board tickets for everyone anyway.
Win-win, really. Except for scalpers. Who can lose forever, tbh.
