U2 Remixed By Justice

Forget Coca-Cola advertisements and tour documentaries if anything marks Justice’s indisputable cross-over into the mainstream it’s this remix requested specifically by four Irishmen known collectively as U2.

I’ve only listened to the source material once so I can’t say if it’s better or worse. What I can tell you is “Get On Your Boots” the lead single from U2’s “No Line on the Horizon” is warped beyond recognition save for Bono’s distinctive vocals which sound like desperately pleading sexual come-ons in their newly found dancefloor context. Justice stick to their tried and true modus operandi – anchor with a throbbing funk-inspire bassline embellish with disco strings and hand claps, add soaring Soulwax synths in the breakdown and drag through a compression ridden murk. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes and eat immediately.

Get On Your Boots (Justice Remix) – U2
