Triple J’s Friday morning programming has been hit by some pretty gnarly technical difficulties, after a radio transmitter chucked a very untimely wobbly.
Right in the thick of The Preatures’ Like A Version performance, some listeners around the nation were hit with a thick slab of silence.
The station immediately took to Twitter to address the awkward disruption, vowing the band’s performance of original track I’m A Mess and their gutsy cover of Arcade Fire’s Everything Now would be delivered post-haste.
Sorry! We’re experiencing tech problems with the transmitter around parts of the country but we promise Like A Version will be online soon 🤗 pic.twitter.com/arzXKGzWGW

The mix-up resulted in the station nixing its time-delay for audiences in Queensland, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia, resulting in morning hosts Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton explaining their untimely handover to host Zan Rowe in real-time.
The trio kicked up discussions about curses and Dr. Who timey-wimey nonsense in response to the bizarre outages. Look, same.
Listeners have also responded to their lives being thrown out of whack:

At time of writing, the station is goin’ strong. Here’s the YouTube version of the cover, too:
