triple j Disqualifies Taylor Swift From Hottest 100

Had you been listening to triple j’s Hottest 100 from its outset today, you would’ve heard Lewi McKirdy put a definitive end to rampant speculation that Taylor Swift would be making her inaugural appearance in the world’s largest annual “musical democracy.”
Per McKirdy:
“First I need to address something and it’s important, we haven’t addressed it yet. Taylor Swift. That’s what I’m talking about. Is she in this list?
[*Abrasive noise*]

That abrasve noise would suggest not. She’s out for a whole range of reasons. All of them are at a website that we’ve set up. If you want to go there… it’s call triplejfeed.com.”
At the time of writing, and since its first mention, triplejfeed.com has been out of action. You can keep trying at the link below.
#TkayForHottest100, however, is something we wholly, unequivocally can get behind. Diminutive legend Tkay Maidza made her maiden Hottest 100 appearance with ‘Switch Lanes’ (produced by Pacers) at #100. I’ve no doubt she’ll be making at least one more appearance higher up in the countdown.
To parrot a phrase in language you’ll no doubt be familiar with: Maidza’s gonna slay, slay, slay, slay, slay.

UPDATE: triplejfeeds.com has been restored after hours of radio silence and you can now read at length their highly-polished dissertation outlining the reasons for Swift’s exclusion from the countdown.
Those reasons include, but are not limited to: Buzzfeed’s original campaign and their status as “an international media company worth approximately $850 million”; not setting a precedent for trolls; KFC’s “greasy fingers” and their transparent attempts to wrap them “around a freshly-minted hashtag” and the indisputable fact that Tkay Maidza is a certifiable legend more deserving of a place in the Hottest 100 than the – arguably – biggest pop star in the world right now.

It’s a masterful justification and parody alike. Read it here.
