Travis Barker Contemplates Getting Knocked Out For Australian Fans

Off the back of the bitter-sweet news confirming a 2013 Blink 182 Australian tour sans drummer, Travis Barker is exploring possible options which may (fingers crossed) allow him to reunite with his pop-punk posse for their first Aussie shows since reforming.

After the 2008 plane crash which left Barker and long-time friend/collaborator DJ AM in critical conditions, the third and final member of Blink 182 is understandably petrified of flying. This has seen the Cali-local travel to recent European shows by boat, hardly a practical arrangement for longer voyages, like a trip to Australia.

Displaying some good old fashioned courage and Rain Man-esque faith in Qantas, Barker hopes to make it to our shores in the future, allowing his Aussie fans to see his freak-of-nature-drumming abilities in the flesh:

“I’m contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia. I want to overcome that eventually. When I do, I think it’s going to be Qantas. They never had a crash, never had a fatality – knock on wood. It’s something I want to overcome for me – and my kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it.”
